On the morning of November 21, 2024, a delegation from the Japan MCC (Maritime Cospas-Sarsat Satellite Operation Center) under the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) visited and worked at the headquarters of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (VMRCC).

The delegation was welcomed by Mr Nguyễn Văn Tính, Deputy General Director of VMRCC, along with representatives of the centre's leadership and staff. From the JAMCC side, the delegation included Mr Kurohara Masahiro, Head of the JAMCC Administration Department (Delegation Leader); Mr Monji Yuichi, Special Assistant to the Director and Head of MCC Delegation; Mr Shimamura Takumi, Head of Communications; Mr Kamemoto Ryuta, Specialist in the Communications Department; and Mr Uchida Atsushi, Operations Center Specialist. Mr. Kato Tetsuro, the first secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, was also attending.

During the visit, the Japanese delegation was introduced to the functions, responsibilities, and organizational structure of VMRCC. They also toured the headquarters and learned more about the centre's operations. Representatives from JAMCC shared details about their delegation and outlined the roles and responsibilities of their teams. Both sides exchanged experiences in operations, connection protocols, and support procedures.

At the end of the meeting, JAMCC expressed gratitude for the warm and thoughtful reception from VMRCC. Both parties highly valued the outcomes of the visit.
