On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024, on the morning of February 3, 2024, the delegation of the Ministry of Transport led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sang, member of the Party Committee Designated Representation, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport, visited and wished a Happy New Year to the officials and crew members of the Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre no.I (Regional Centre I). Joining the delegation were Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong, President of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union; Mr. Tran Trong Duc, Vice President of the Vietnam Maritime Administration Trade Union and leaders of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sang, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport gave gifts to celebrate the New Year to rescue vessels

The meeting took place at the search and rescue vessel SAR 411 in an open, warm, and exciting atmosphere. Deputy Minister Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sang understood and shared the difficulties in performing the duties of the officials and crew members of the Regional Center I, highly appreciated the changes, made efforts to overcome all challenges, coordinated with the Hai Phong Provincial Commanding Committee of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue, the Coast Guard Regional Command, the Border Guards Regional Command and relevant forces to well perform search and rescue tasks, support and rescue people and facilities in distress at sea. The Deputy Minister and the President of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union inquired about the health of officials and crew members; recognized the achievements of the Regional Center I and requested the officers and crew members of the Regional Center I to continue their efforts to contribute, overcome difficulties, promote achievements, and become a solid fulcrum for seafarers.

On behalf of Regional Centre I, Mr. Bui Hoang Tiep, Director of Regional Centre I, thanked for the recognition and deep concern of leaders of the Ministry of Transport and Vietnam Maritime Administration; promised to overcome difficulties and challenges; would like to receive attention and direction from superior agencies continuously for complete assigned tasks in the new year 2024, and respectfully wished the Deputy Minister and the comrades in the working group happiness, good health, and prosperity./.
