The Youth Union Branch Point congress of Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre No.I and the journey “The Youth keeps on the history”

On 12 April, 2024, Vietnam MRCC’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch (Centre’s Union Branch) implemented meaningful and practical activities that were associated with political tasks on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union founding date (26/3/1931 - 26/3/2024).

In the morning of 12 April, 2024, the Centre’s Union Branch directed the organization of The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch Congress of Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre No.I (Haiphong MRCC’s Youth Union Branch) in the term 2024-2027 which was the Point Youth Union Branch congress. The congress was honored to have the presence and direction of Mr. Mai Chi Thanh, Member of the Executive Committee of the Ministry of Transport, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam Maritime Administration; Mr Bui Hoang Tiep, Party Cell Secretary, Director of Haiphong Mrcc; Mr Pham Cong Duc, Secretary of the Vietnam MRCC’s Youth Union Branch; Secretary of the Union Branches of the Centre Union Branch; Representative of the Trade Union Executive Committee; Captains, Chief Engineers, leaders of functional departments and all union members; Representative of the Executive Committee of Maritime Administration of Hai Phong.

The discussion atmosphere at the Congress was exciting and straightforward, focusing on key issues of the Youth Union's work and the youth movement of Hai Phong MRCC in the current period. At the Congress, the achieved results as well as limitations and remainings of the 2022-2023 term Youth movement were discussed and evaluated; determined directions and tasks for the 2024-2027 term, were voted in high agreement with the basic contents of the Draft Report submitted to the Congress. Also at the Congress, the term 2024-2027 Executive Committee was elected including 05 comrades; Mr Do Duy Chinh was elected to be Secretary of Hai Phong MRCC’s Youth Union Branch for the new term.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr Bui Hoang Tiep, Secretary of the Party Cell, Director of Hai Phong MRCC appreciated the outstanding achievements that the Youth Union Branch had achieved in the last term of 2022-2023. He emphasized that the activities of the Branch in term of 2024-2027 must inherit and further promote the strength of Youth Union members, push their roles and responsibilities in training and self-improving morality and professional capacity; more and more technical innovation initiatives were needed to contribute to stronger organization building.

Mr Pham Cong Duc, Secretary of the Vietnam MRCC’s Youth Union, appreciated the outstanding achievements and activities of Hai Phong MRCC’s Youth Union Branch throughout 2022-2023 term, oriented and assigned tasks to the new term’s Executive Committee in the coming time; focused on pushing Youth activities, closely followed the content of movement launched by Vietnam MRCC’s Youth Union, enhanced spirit of solidarity between union members, strived to successfully complete all tasks of the union and administration.

The Congress successfully taken place. All the Youth Union’s members brought into play their responsibilities and concentrated their minds to contribute to the Congress’s success.

In the afternoon of the same day, after the end of the Congress, the Vietnam MRCC’s Youth Union organized a program of visiting historical sites at Bach Dang Giang monument, Do Son Unnumbered Wharf monument - Hai Phong and the Project of 63m SAR ship that was currently being built at Z189 factory (Hai Phong)./.
