The Center coordinates with relevant authorities to hand over victims under the regulations
As previously reported, at around 06:00 AM on April 6, 2025, fishing vessel TH 92686 TS collided violently with m/v Hosei Crown while operating about 20 nautical miles south of buoy No. 0 in the Hai Phong fairway. The fishing vessel sank completely, throwing all 12 crew members into the sea in a bad weather situation, high waves, and restricted visibility. Upon receiving information from vessels at the scene, the Center issued an emergency alert and immediately dispatched SAR 411 from Hai Phong to carry out the rescue mission. By the determination of the rescue team and close coordination with relevant agencies, by 09:10 the same day, 8 crew members had been safely rescued and 4 bodies recovered at the scene.
Authorities are currently continuing to investigate the cause of the accident to clarify the responsibilities of the involved parties.

The Center established the forward command post in Hai Phong to direct the search and rescue operations.
