Pursuant to the Prime Minister's Official Telegram No. 86/CD-TTg dated September 3, 2024, No. 87/CD-TTg dated September 5, 2024, the Ministry of Transport issued Official Telegram No. 30/CD-BGTVT dated September 3, 2024, No. 31/CD-BGTVT dated September 4, 2024 and established the Command Center located at Maritime Administration of Hai Phong.
According to updated information from the Command Center, at 8:45 a.m. on September 7, 2024, Typhoon No. 3 was moving in the Gulf of Tonkin, about 120km from the East Southeast of Quang Ninh-Thai Binh. The strongest wind force near the typhoon’s center was level 14, gusting to level 17, moving in the West Northwest direction, at the speed of 15-20km/h.
The Command Center requested a check-up, accordingly:
- In the seaport area, ships and boats are requested to return to safe anchorage and shelter.
- Ships and boats are requested to move to the south to avoid the typhoon.
The Command Center at the Maritime Administration of Hai Phong is on duty 24/7, connecting online with the bridgeheads of the Maritime Administration from Quang Ninh to Da Nang, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre promptly handles dangerous maritime incidents caused by Typhoon No. 3.
