On September 11th, 2023, while on duty at Con Son Island, the SAR 413 vessel of the Vietnam MRCC successfully medevaced a fisherman who had suffered a stroke from the fishing boat BV 92349 TS.
At 07:50 A.M, September 11th, 2023, the Vietnam MRCC (the Centre) received information from the owner of fishing boat BV 92349 TS announcing that there was 01 fisherman on board (named Nguyen Duc Hau, born in 1976, Captain of the fishing boat) suffering a stroke and in life-threatening. The owner requested urgent rescue. The fishing boat BV 92349 TS was about 122 nautical miles off Con Son Island in South East at that moment. There was SouthWest wind with 5-6 Beaufort grade and stronger wind gusts in the area.

The Centre immediately instructed the Ho Chi Minh City Coast Radio Station to provide initial medical advice to the injured, and requested the fishing boat to promptly navigate to Con Son Island for assistance. Given the emergency, under the command of VINASARCOM, the Centre deployed specialized vessel SAR 413 which was on duty in Con Son Island to conduct the rescue mission. Provincial Commanding Commitee of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue, and Provincial Border Guard Command of Ba Ria–Vung Tau coordinated to send one military doctor on board.

At 3:36 P.M. on the same day, the SAR 413 vessel approached the fishing boat BV 92349 TS, provided initial medical first aid, transferred the patient to the SAR 413 vessel, and promptly brought him back to Con Son Island. The SAR 413 vessel arrived back on shore at 9:36 P.M., where the patient was handed over to local authorities for emergency treatment./.
